Pioneering a New Era of Industrial Applications

Genome Editing
About Genome Editing
Genome editing is a technology that alters the genetic properties of an organism by modifying a targeted DNA sequence. It is used for a wide range of gene modifications tailored to specific objectives, including knockout, which disables gene function, and knock-in, which introduces or substitutes a specific sequence.
As a leader in this field, PtBio delivers solutions designed for industrial application.
Value
The Value PtBio's Genome Editing Delivers
PtBio's genome editing technology has a clear and well-consolidated licensing position, making it well suited to industrial application.
By selecting between our Platinum TALEN, TALE-ND1 and Zinc Finger ND1 (ZF-ND1) genome editing tools according to the objective at hand, we help address societal challenges across a diverse range of industries — including biomanufacturing of biopharmaceuticals and chemicals, drug discovery, and crop and livestock improvement.
Drawing on our knowledge and experience across genome editing technologies, including CRISPR-Cas9, we support the application of these tools to your specific business and R&D objectives.
Reasons
Why Choose PtBio's Genome Editing
01
Extensive Experience and a Proven Track Record in Genome Editing
Our CTO, Takashi Yamamoto (Director of the Genome Editing Innovation Center, Hiroshima University), is a leading figure in the genome editing field. His roles have included President of the Japanese Society for Genome Editing (2016–2021) and Project Leader for the national OPERA and COI-NEXT programs.
Working in partnership with Hiroshima University, PtBio has established a framework that allows the latest research findings to be translated rapidly into technology development. By staying attuned to industry needs and delivering our technology accordingly, we provide solutions that combine reliability with practical utility. We offer comprehensive support at every stage — from technology implementation and experimental design through to data analysis and interpretation of results.
