On Friday, November 7, we had the pleasure of welcoming first-year students from Hiroshima Gakuin High School to our company.

This visit was part of an inquiry-based learning program organized by Mieta Inc., conducted as a fieldwork activity for the students.
We began with an introduction to our company’s business by our CEO, Keisuke Okuhara, who also spoke about his career path. Following this, Kazuki Nakamae, Team Leader of the Bio-DX Team in the R&D Department, and Tomokazu Kurita, Senior Researcher of the GX Team, presented their daily research activities and introduced some of the equipment they use in their work.
The students listened attentively to the specialized presentations and carefully read through the research posters on display. They then participated in a workshop in which they were asked to “propose ideas that could create social impact through collaboration between Platinum Bio’s research and projects and high school students.”
Each group discussed topics such as the development of hypoallergenic eggs and our carbon-recycling initiatives. With their characteristically flexible and creative perspectives, the students proposed a variety of ideas that could help our projects gain broader recognition and societal reach.
For us as well, it was a valuable opportunity to engage with the high school students.
Thank you very much for your visit.
