PtBio Launches Research on a High-Speed DBTL System for Genome Editing Tools at Waseda University

PtBio, a startup originating from Hiroshima University, has launched sponsored research at Waseda University.

This research project aims to develop a high-speed DBTL (Design-Build-Test-Learn) system for genome editing tools, specifically Zinc Finger technology, through evolutionary synthetic biology. The project will also explore the ideal form of highly practical Zinc Finger technology, referred to as “Platinum Finger.”

The ultimate goal is to establish and validate a platform capable of seamlessly handling the design, prototyping, and delivery of Zinc Finger tools for arbitrary target sequences.
