Bioinformatician (genomic analysis)

You will be conducting bioinformatics analysis to select organisms with the desired functions from among the organisms (especially non-model organisms) owned by clients and to optimize breeding conditions. You will also be involved in planning how to proceed with joint research with business partners and developing analysis pipelines that can be a competitive advantage in the Bio-DX business.

  • De novo genome assembly using long-read sequence data (HIFI reads/ONT reads)

  • RNA-seq expression analysis

  • De novo transcriptome analysis

  • Iso-seq analysis

  • Hi-C Analysis

  • Assembling the metagenomics of the bacterial flora

  • 16S rRNA bacterial flora analysis

  • Mutation analysis using WGS data

  • Lift-over of genome annotation

Headquarters: Hiroshima University Innovation Plaza

(15 minutes by bus or 5 minutes on foot from JR Saijo Station, 10 minutes by taxi from Higashi-Hiroshima Station)

*If you have sufficient experience in bioinformatics, you can work remotely (available nationwide)

Employment status: Full-time employee

* Trial period: 6 months

*Working conditions during the trial period: Same as for full employment

8:30-17:30 (60 minute break)

* Professional discretionary work system

4.8 million yen to 10.8 million yen (annual salary system)

* Will be determined based on experience and skills.

120 days off per year, 2 days off per week (Saturday and Sunday), public holidays, 10 days paid leave in the first year (after trial period), special leave (refreshment leave, special leave for special occasions, year-end and New Year holidays)
