Keisuke Okuhara is the co-founder and CEO of PtBio inc. He also leads a co-creation consortium between industry and academia (COI-NEXT) to promote “Bio-Digital Transformation” with CTO, Takashi Yamamoto.
He served as a member of Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), the Cabinet Secretariat, Higashi-Hiroshima City, and then to Hiroshima University. He experienced Entrepreneurship programs such as EDGE sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, Technology, Program of Start-up incubation from COre Research (SCORE) sponsored by JST, and Blockbuster TOKYO, and then established PtBIo Inc.

Takashi Yamamoto is the co-founder and CTO of PtBio inc. He is the Professor and Director of Hiroshima University Genome editing Innovation Center. He has been a top runner in genome editing research and president of the Japanese Society for genome editing. He promotes all-Japan industry-academia co-creation as the area manager of the OPERA “Genome editing” industry-academia co-creation consortium and the project leader of COI-NEXT to promote “Bio-Digital Transformation” . He also works on developing advanced human resources for genome editing through WISE Program (Doctoral Program for World-leading Innovative & Smart Education) sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

Atsuhiro ISHII is the COO of PtBio inc.At Arthur D. Little Japan, he was engaged in consulting services such as new business strategy planning and business due diligence mainly in the healthcare and life science fields.
He joined PtBio inc in April 2022 as COO of PtBio inc, attracted by the social implementation of genome editing technology, which is an industrial base technology.
At PtBio inc, he is involved in a wide range of business strategy formulation and business development, as well as fundraising and internal control operations.
